SHIRINGA PIECES
Pieces made from shiringa are handcrafted and require special care to ensure their durability.
To preserve this vegan leather, we only recommend dry cleaning. Do not machine wash or hand wash with prolonged immersion.
For surface cleaning and to moisturize the leather, use alcohol-free disposable wipes or cloths with water. Do not use detergents or animal leather lubricants.
Always air dry in a well-ventilated, shaded area. Do not expose to direct sunlight or heat sources (iron, dryer, radiator), as the piece may harden or crack.
Store in a cool, dry place protected from moisture with a garment bag to preserve its shape and avoid friction with other items.
HAND WASH (garments made of cotton, silk, wool or alpaca)
We recommend dry cleaning the garments, as it is the best option.
Temperature changes and agitation while damp can cause wool garments to shrink and/or pill. The greater the temperature change and/or agitation, the greater the risk of shrinkage.
DRYING
Water temperature: Cold, maximum 29 °C.
Do not use chlorine or products like Woolite.
We do not recommend using a dryer. If you decide to do so, use a low temperature setting and for a short period.
Dry the garment flat in the shade. Avoid hanging it to prevent deformation.
You can smooth out seams and wrinkles manually. If necessary, use a cool iron with a protective cloth on top.
DRY CLEANING
If the garment has embroidery, metal appliqués and/or shiringa leather, we recommend dry cleaning it at the same time to avoid color differences and not damage the garment.
Instruct the cleaning staff to use a new solvent at a low temperature and without harsh drying agents. If in doubt, contact a professional cleaning service.
STORAGE
Make sure the garment is completely dry before storing it.
Protect it from moths using cedar chests, airtight containers, or lavender/cinnamon sachets.
We do not recommend mothballs.
